Dr Heather Smith was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia and grew up just outside the city in Fall River. She attended Mount Saint Vincent University for her undergraduate degree and received her Bachelor of Science in 2003. Having an interest in dentistry that started from a very early age, she then went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Dalhousie University in 2007.
After graduation Dr. Smith has had the opportunity to work with and learn from other dentists all across Canada, including in Victoria, B.C., Brockville, O.N, and Halifax, N.S. While living in Halifax she also happily devoted part of her time as an instructor at the Dalhousie dental school.
She enjoys all aspects of the profession with a special interest in oral surgery and endodontics (root canals). She is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, and the Canadian Dental Association.
When she’s not working, she enjoys travelling with her husband, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
