Josée Lafrance - Hygienist

Having been born and raised in the Ottawa region, Josée attended high school in Blackburn Hamlet. In her senior year, she had a co-op placement at Blackburn Shoppes Dental Centre, to experience what working in the dental field is all about. She decided to pursue this field at college.

After completion of the Dental Hygiene program at La Cité collégiale in 2007, Josée came back to Blackburn Shoppes Dental Centre, where she was familiar with the great staff and what patient care meant to Dr. Plant and her team.

Josée grew up with two older brothers and many cousins who shaped her into being an outgoing type of girl from the country side. Josée is daring in many ways. She has once gone skydiving, and hopes to do it again. She enjoys most outdoor activities such as camping in the summertime, and many winter activities (skiing, skating, etc.). She spends the most time she can outside. Although she has hardly travelled yet, Josée intends to explore the world slowly but surely.

One of Josée’s passions is animals. From a young age, she has raised all sorts of exotic animals, from pet chickens to rabbits, dogs, cats, parrots, you name it, and she’s probably had it. Josée has a general fascination with anything nature has to offer.
